How do I delete a listing?
Select "Edit Listing" from the menu at the top of each page. You
must first enter the proper authentication information, after which you will be shown a
list of all your listings. Select the "Delete" button that corresponds to
the listing you wish to delete. If the item was sold, check the box marked
"Sold" before clicking the "Delete" button. The item will be
marked as sold for a few days and then removed from the server.
How does the system know when my last visit was?
This server makes use of "cookies" to help make your visits to our
site easier. Cookies are small packets of information that are stored on your hard drive.
When you first visit Privatesale.com a piece of information is sent to your computer
containing the date of your last visit. The next time you return, the server
requests this information and uses it to help you search only the listings that have been
added since your last visit, saving you the hassle of having to re-read listings! Cookies
are also used so that your password is saved on your system. If you ever need to edit or
add a new listing on a return visit from the same computer you will be glad to see that
your password has been saved for you.
What if two people use the same phone number or same email address and want
to post a listing?
One user will have to use an email address with no primary phone number
as their primary login and the other their primary phone number but no email address.
Alternately, both users can post under the same login, but specify special instructions
with the body of their listing. When this site was created we had the option of
allowing users to pick their own username but we determined that since all email addresses
are unique on the Internet they would be easier for users to remember on a return visit.
I've forgotten my password. How can I retrieve it?
If you provided your email address as your primary login identifier,
you can click here to retrieve your password by email.

Can I mark an item as SOLD?
Select "Edit Listing" from the menu at the top of each page. You
must first enter the proper authentication information, after which you will be shown a
list of all your listings. Click the checkbox marked "Sold" that corresponds to
your listing and click the "Delete" button. The item will be marked as
sold for a few days and then removed from the server.
